ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Colleague:

The “São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Contemporary Logic,
Rationality, and Information – SPLogiC”, promoted by the Centre for
Logic, Epistemology and the History of Science (CLE) of the University
of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil, was initially conceived to be held at
the University of Campinas from July 13th to 24th, 2020.

Unfortunately, in spite of the expressive number of student
inscriptions from all around the world, due to the measures taken
regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to decide to postpone the
realization of the School.
As our academic activities have returned to relative normality, we
have decided to reschedule the realization of the School and are
delighted to inform you that the “São Paulo School of Advanced Science
on Contemporary Logic, Rationality, and Information – SPLogiC” will be
held at Unicamp from February 6th to 17th, 2023.
The School, funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP),
celebrates the 90th anniversary of Newton da Costa (and beyond) and
the 45 Years of the Centre for Logic, Epistemology and the History of
Science (CLE), and aims at providing an overview of the state-of-art
methodology and research on contemporary logic (featuring
non-classical logics), rationality, and information. The program
comprises eight courses and nine plenary talks as well as oral
presentations (LED Talks) and poster sessions by the students.
Topics to be covered include: history and philosophy of paraconsistent
logics; the Australian, Belgian, Brazilian, Israeli and Polish Schools
on paraconsistency; logic and reasoning; logic and
information; logic and argumentation; methodological aspects on
interpreting, translating and combining logics; probability and
artificial intelligence.
The event will select 100 fully-funded student participants (50
