HARVEY BROWN

Harvey R Brown is a philosopher of physics. He is an Emeritus Professor in the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Oxford, and Emeritus Fellow of Wolfson College Oxford. He also taught at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Brazil, and has been a visiting lecturer at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, University of Vienna, University of Pittsburgh and University of Notre Dame. He did his undergraduate studies in physics and mathematics at the University of Canterbury and his PhD in philosophy of physics at the University of London. He was elected Fellow of the British Academy in 2007 and is an ex-President of the British Society for the Philosophy of Science. His webpage is
